Original Painting 'Laced'

Who else lives in their Converse? I have since I was a kid. I personally prefer the high tops and they are my go-to shoe for everyday. I called it ‘Laced’ not just because of the laces, but the fingers too. Hands have always challenged me so painting her fingers laced like this was quite the task!

I really love the youthful vibe of this painting and having been a pavement dwelling tomboy as a teen, I appreciate this composition. The tattoo is similar to one of my own. ‘Laced’ feels like a reflective self-portrait.
